Electron Transport Chain
The electron transport chain is a network of electron-carrying proteins located in the inner membrane of the mitochondrion. These proteins transfer electrons from one to another. These electrons and protons will be added oxygen which is the final electron acceptor. This creates more water. The ATP is produced by a proton motive force of a store of protential energy created by the gradient formed when hydrogens are moved across a membrane. The Chain creates a gradient which ATP can be made. This is called chemiosmosis. This creates 32-34 ATP.
